Our Work

"Hayatt" provides material and moral support to people with cancer who live in Kuwait. Specifically, our association provides expensive chemotherapy and other support services at no cost to expatriate cancer patients treated in Kuwait at the national cancer treatment center.

The Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC) was the first comprehensive cancer treatment facility built in the Middle East.

The KCCC was made possible by a generous donation made by Mr. Hussein Makki Al Juma'a and was inaugurated in October 1982 by the late Emir Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. The KCCC was the realization of a dream and the accomplishment of the association and friendship of two men of vision and two legends in medicine who designed the landscape for oncology in Kuwait:

- The late Dr. Nael Al Naqeeb , the former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, after his administrative duties at the ministry of health, the chairman of the first surgical oncology unit that he established and where he was the most active surgeon operating and taking care of his patients, and

- The late Dr. Youssef Omar, the pioneer of the radiation therapy that he established in Kuwait and the first director of the Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC).
