Hope

I wonder every time I want to write, what to write and from where do I begin. I am not going to write about a dear friend or a love relation, it is rather a story and it is for sure a lovely one. It is better to live with a challenge rather than to live just to live, with the challenge you learn a very important and nice thing in life, HOPE.

Keeping Head Up

I was enjoying a wonderful expat life in Kuwait until the summer holiday in Denmark where on July 4th 2009; I found a lump in the left breast after a routine self-examination under the shower. It wasn't a shock; there is so much educating literature everywhere. The lumpectomy was performed shortly after. But I got goose bumps when 2 more lumps in the lymph system were found a month later. Message of Hope

It was my sister who obliged me to seek a medical advice. In Kuwait I was advised to have a biopsy of this suspicious tumor and then treat accordingly.

The Impossible was Possible

I was under regular follow-up at the cancer center when after three years on January 2009 my doctors detected by mammography during one visit that there was a lump now in the other breast. Because of the advanced stage of my cancer (stage 3) my doctor advised me to have a right mastectomy as well. Sadden by the news I had no other choice then agree. After surviving a second major operation , I taught I was done but sadly I have to undergo chemotherapy since I did not had that kind of treatment after my first operation.
